+ Your 1st visit to Genesis Chiropractic will take about 75-90 minutes and includes the following:

1. Consultation & History – to determine if you are a good candidate for this type of care AND to discover if we can help you reach your goals. (We also provide a FREE consultation, but please call first to set up an appointment: 479.696.8000)

2. Complete VITALISTIC* Chiropractic Assessment (functional evaluation) including:
> digital infrared paraspinal thermography (nerve function scan with Tytron)
> posture assessment
> range of motion
> peak flow breathing test (lung function)
> static and motion palpation of the spine
> body balance and muscle tone assessment
> bilateral grip strength (upper extremity neuromusculoskeletal function)
> cranial nerve exam (as needed based on case)
> reflex/sensory/motor strength/proprioceptive evaluation(s) (as needed)
> review of systems (verbal overview of bodily functions)
> precision 3-D stereoscopic spinography (specialized X-rays of cervical spine) — Our specific x-ray protocol takes out all the guess work! In addition to analyzing the overall structure and balance of the head and neck, the Blair Upper Cervical Specific views allow us to literally “see each individual joint in the cervical spine” for misalignment and dysfunction.

3. Brief Video, Preliminary Report & Reading Assignment – Clients will watch the introduction to “The Power of Upper Cervical” documentary and then receive our “homework” reading assignment to be completed prior to the 2nd day Orientation and Report (OAR) in our office. (This allows the doctor adequate time to review your case, analyze the x-rays films, determine the specific adjustment you need from your unique anatomy, and develop the very best care plan for you and your family.)

++ Your 2nd Office Visit usually takes about 60-75 minutes and includes the following:

1. Detailed Orientation & Vitalistic Report with the doctor. The Orientation and Report (OAR) is an interactive class, often done in a group setting, but we allow ample time to discuss your personal health issues one-on-one. Your questions are very important to us, so please feel free to ask the doctor anything. (We always guard your private health information and remain HIPPA compliant.)

2. Nerve Function & Posture Checks – another thermographic scan of the C-spine, palpation, and postural analysis.

3. Recommendations for Care – based on x-rays, history, individual needs, and personal health goals.

4. First Upper Cervical Specific Adjustment – based on the unique shape, contours, angles, and misalignment factors of the joints in your upper neck (Remember: there is NO popping, twisting, cracking, pulling, or traction in our office).

5. Post Adjustment Rest & Relaxation – a mandatory (yet much appreciated) opportunity for you to slow down, rest, and let your body relax. The goal is better balance, improved function, and increased Brain-to-Body communication so you can begin the process of correction, restoration, and healing.

+++ Follow-up Office Visits usually take between 10 and 40 minutes – it is crucial for the doctor to monitor your newly restored brain-to-body connection and evaluate your progress toward better health (the time it takes is based on our findings, your progress through the care plan, and whether we adjust or not)
Follow-up visits or “nerve system check up” visits include:

1. Nerve Function & Posture Checks – thermographic scan of the C-spine, postural analysis & leg checks, and spinal palpation.

2. Decision to Adjust or Not – based on findings each day (because Dr. Blackketter adjusts with more precision than traditional chiropractors, he expect clients to hold adjustments longer and need fewer adjustments).
Are you clearly connected between Brain & Body? If yes, we will celebrate that you are healing & balancing! The doctor will not adjust you during a “clear visit” because you don’t need it!
On the other hand, if you are subluxated again (and unfortunately needing another adjustment), then the doctor will be happy to adjust you, and the good news is there is NO extra charge beyond the standard office visit fee.

3. Post Adjustment Rest & Relaxation – if adjusted you will get to slow down, rest, and let your body relax again with the goal of correction, restoration, and healing.
